Ingredients in Puff Pastry Pizza Scrolls

You’ll need just six ingredients to make these kid-friendly pizza scrolls:

Puff pastry sheets – Use frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed according to the packet directions. I like to work with them while they’re still slightly firm for easier rolling.

Pizza sauce – Use your favourite store-bought pizza sauce, or substitute with tomato paste or passata/puree mixed with a pinch of Italian herbs (see Note 1 in the recipe card).

Ham – Diced ham adds a tasty, savoury flavour. You can use leftover sliced ham, ham off the bone or shaved deli ham, chopped.

Cheddar cheese – Grated cheddar cheese helps hold the scrolls together. Tasty cheese or mozzarella also work.

Canned pineapple – My kids’ favourite topping! Drain the pineapple really well to avoid soggy pastry. Then chop it into small pieces to help the scrolls roll tightly.

Egg – To make a light egg wash to help the pastry turn golden and crisp in the oven.
