Ingredients in Cauliflower and Sweet Potato Mash

Simple ingredients are used in this cauliflower sweet potato mash:

Cauliflower – Crunchy, fresh cauliflower cut into florets.

Sweet potato –  I use orange sweet potato in this recipe. It’s the type I use most often, and I love the colour it adds.

Butter and milk – To add creaminess to the mash. I always use unsalted butter and full fat regular milk.

Garlic powder – Normally I would opt for fresh garlic cloves over ground, but it’s easier to mix in ground garlic powder. And this is meant to be an easy side dish!

White pepper – White pepper is a more mild seasoning than black pepper. Substitute if you like.

Salt (optional) – To enhance flavour, for family over 12 months.

Just love mashed potatoes and sweet potato adds a special, subtle flavour. I used the old fashioned method to make this, as I don’t have a Thermomix. Great stuff Chloe.
