I started this blog as a place to share our family’s baby and toddler recipes. They’re made for busy, real, health-conscious families – just like ours!
This started as a Thermomix blog…
When Baby#2 arrived in early 2022, so did the thermo cooker/all-in-one appliance – a Thermomix TM6. I’m a fan of anything that is going to save time and make life easier, and thought it would be a great help in the kitchen when preparing meals from scratch for my family of 3 boys (1 big, 2 small). And it is!
Early into my marriage I never cooked. That was my husband’s job (what a win, right?!) while I worked and completed my PhD in Education. He worked too but seemed to love the process of cooking and so it was. A few years and two gorgeous little boys later, I’ve come to love cooking, and do a lot more of it – but still want to save time!
With Baby#1 (now 5 year old PK) I made all baby and toddler food, and was so diligent as first-time mums are in following paediatric advice (particularly in relation to starting solids and introducing allergens). I truly believe the range of homemade foods PK had as a baby and toddler has helped him develop great eating habits. He is not a fussy eater (yet!) and loves his fruit and vegetables! I wanted to do the same for Baby#2, LJ, but struggled to find FREE thermo cooker/all-in-one appliance recipes in one easy place, that were simple to make, cost-effective, included a range of whole-food ingredients typically found in our family meals, but excluded all the salt, sugar and foods to avoid for babies. And so My ThermoBaby Eats began!
You might notice that lots of recipes include allergens. This was deliberate when feeding my boys, as the latest Australian advice is to give babies allergy causing foods before they are one year of age.
You’ll also see that I include instructions for conventional cooking, because whilst my Thermomix is awesome, I didn’t always have one! I want the recipes here to be easily accessible to all parents looking to make delicious and nutritious homemade food for their children.
Where I can, I include links to infant health publications and information, and the great sources I’ve used as a parent on the #babyfoodjourney. But here’s my disclaimer! I am not a child health practitioner, dietician, nutritionist or baby-food expert! I’m just a mum who loves to read, write and create, and who wants to share with and empower other parents to be the best chefs/caterers/lunchbox makers they can be for their kids! If you have any concerns with feeding your baby or toddler including when to start solids, how to introduce allergens etc., always consult your child health practitioner.
So let’s get started! Browse my purées, finger food, sides, family mains and sweets categories, and please feel free to review or comment once you’ve given them a go! If you have any questions please email [email protected].

Happy creating!
